It consists of three crucial components, designed to replace the original secondary mirror assembly with precision.
To begin the installation process, the original assembly is methodically disassembled, starting with the removal of the corrector plate.
Subsequently, the baffle tube is unthreaded to allow for the extraction of the secondary holder. The secondary mirror is then carefully placed into the new holder, ensuring a secure fit.
Once assembled, the unit is reattached to the corrector plate and seamlessly reinstalled into the telescope, guaranteeing optimal functionality.
Following installation, precise collimation of the telescope optics is essential.
Remarkably, this collimation remains stable even when the secondary mirror is temporarily removed for HyperStar imaging.
The secondary mirror can be easily removed using a threaded ring.
