Comprising three essential components, it seamlessly replaces the original secondary mirror assembly.
Installation commences with the precise removal of the original assembly, commencing with the careful detachment of the corrector plate.
Subsequently, the baffle tube is unthreaded to facilitate the smooth removal of the secondary holder.
The secondary mirror is then extracted and securely placed within the new holder.
Once assembled, this unit is reattached to the corrector plate and seamlessly reinstalled into the telescope.
After installation, precise collimation of the telescope optics is necessary.
Remarkably, this collimation remains intact even when the secondary mirror is temporarily removed for HyperStar imaging, ensuring consistent optical alignment.
The secondary mirror's removal is achieved through a threaded ring.
During its temporary absence from the telescope, it is securely stored in an included holder provided with the HyperStar lens.
