DayStar Combo Quark H-Alpha Prominence Filter Explained:

• Purpose: The DayStar Combo Quark H-Alpha Solar Prominence Filter  is tailored for observing solar prominences. The "Combo" implies an integration of various components, making it a convenient and user-friendly tool for solar observation.
  

• Prominences: Are large, bright features that extend outwards from the solar surface and are often visible during solar events like eclipses.

• Use: The DayStar Combo Quark H-Alpha Solar Prominence Filter provides a clear and detailed view of prominences, allowing for the study of their structure, dynamics, and other related phenomena. 

Crafted for SCTs, Maks, or refractors boasting focal ratios between F/15 and F/30, users can enjoy a hassle-free experience. No need for intricate setups; just slide it into your diagonal, attach an eyepiece, and you're ready to start observing.

Eyepiece Snout and Adapter:

• Featuring a 1.25" eyepiece snout with a safety indent slot for seamless insertion into your diagonal or focuser.

• Includes a 2° off-axis 1.25" snout adapter, designed for use with SCT and Mak off-axis ERFs.

Versatile Output Options:

• Offers a standard 1.25" eyepiece drawtube output; optional 2" accessories are also available.

• Equipped with a brass compression ring to securely hold the eyepiece in place.

Power and Compatibility:

• Operates using USB power (5v, 1.5amp); includes a 90-240VAC wall adapter and international plug adapters.

• Tuning knob allows for wing shifting of +/- 0.5Å with detents at every 0.1Å; features an LED indicator for power, warming, readiness, and fault.

• Backed by a 5-year warranty; an optional 8-hour battery pack is also available.

Blocking Filter and Optics:

• Incorporates an integrated 25mm blocking filter with a 21mm clear filter aperture; no Barlow or focusing elements are included.

• Delivers optimal performance with F/15 - F/30 refractors at full aperture, or with SCTs and Maks with off-axis ERF.

• Enables full disk viewing on refractors up to approximately 1800mm focal length.
