Excellent telescope

I purchased this telescope in order to capture images. It is an excellent telescope and is exactly what I needed! Great quality!

Great Telescope for an amature or more Advanced user. May not be for all enthusiasts, but Excelle...

This product was the first Telescope that ive purchased that wasnt meant for amatures or sold in Walmart/Dicks sporting goods. I am very happy with my purchase, and any of the negatives that i bring up in this review do not fall on Red Carpet Telescopes or the Bresser 208mm scope itself, but fall on my ignorance.
i really was unaware of how much larger this telescope was going to be in reference to my old 114mm cheap National Geographic Newtonian, and i could not believe the size difference, and the increase in quality.
this telescope is very very easy to use, and collimate, and the light that it is able to capture is amazing! with the correct mounting set up i would have an even better experience but for now my DIY set up will do. There is some light diffraction due to the F ratio being 3.9, which is fine when taking digital images but is a bit frustrating when viewing by eye. i have done more research and it looks like a coma corrector filter will fix tgis issue, and i am going to try this. I am so amazed by this telescope and i will probably have this for the rest of my life.
if you are looking to purchase this model, be ready for the size and make sure to have the proper mounting either with a well made equatorial tripod or a large heavy duty DIY mount thats able to handle about 25/30lbs. ALSO THIS PRODUCT DOESNT COME WITH THE SPOTTING SCOPE _ it has the mounting bracket but no scope so dont be suprised if it doesnt exist when you get your package.
(SIDE NOTE) this telescope was advertised as a 208mm f/3.9 bresser but when i got the telescope the actual marking on the tube stated that the primary was 210mm and the focal length is 800mm not the advertised 812mm. its not a big deal but might throw you off.

Bresser 208mm F/3.9 Newtonian OTA

during shipment the lid was damaged, a replacement is on the way and the response to remedy the situation was prompt. The overall quality of the telescope is average, I was hoping for a more stable focuser and stronger tube wall, the scope is used for photography and the camera is not rock solid when attached. The early images are OK, i was hoping for a little more accuracy, or pinpoint stars (I am using a high quality coma corrector). I like the carrying case and handle on the scope.

An amazing scope at an amazing price!!

The telescope is excellent and does exactly what you would expect it to do. Amazing Aperture leads to nice bright images. The focus mechanism is smooth, and the handle on the cradle rings is super convenient/helpful. Also, the collimation of this Scope is super easy to use. Ultimately, I would recommend this Scope for its ease-of-use. An amazing Scope at an amazing price.
