Bresser Condor 10x40mm Roof Prism Binoculars

Introducing the Bresser 10x40mm Condor Roof Prism Binoculars, invented around the same time as the telescope, serve as two miniature telescopes with the unique ability to provide right-side-up and left-to-right correct viewing.

They find application across a wide spectrum of activities, including spectator sports, wildlife observation, astronomy, hunting, land surveys, geographic work, security, and various types of industrial and military inspections.

The original motivation behind inventing binoculars was to make telescopic viewing more comfortable and less strenuous on the eyes, as they allowed both eyes to remain open, eliminating visual confusion by presenting images with a "normal" orientation in a brighter, more magnified view.

Over the course of four centuries, significant advancements have been made in optics and binocular body design, resulting in three main categories of binoculars used today: Galilean Lens, Porro Prism, and Roof Prism.

Among these, Roof Prism binoculars stand out as the most compact, albeit often the most expensive.

The Bresser 10x40mm Condor Roof Prism Binoculars, classified as full-size binoculars suitable for diverse applications, distinguish themselves with their ultra-compact folding design.

Robust rubber armor body, multi-coated optics, comfortable eye relief, and an unexpectedly affordable price point.

This binocular package also includes a protective case and a strap for your convenience.

Features:

  • 10x Magnification, 40mm Objective Lens: This means that these binoculars are capable of enlarging objects 10 times closer than what the naked eye can see. The 40mm objective lens refers to the diameter of the front lens, determining the amount of light the binoculars can gather for brighter images.
  • Fully Multi-Coated Lens, BK-7 Roof Prism: "Fully multi-coated" indicates that multiple layers of anti-reflective coatings have been applied to all glass surfaces within the binoculars. The "BK-7" roof prism is a type of optical prism known for its durability and ability to deliver sharp, high-contrast images.
  • Waterproof: The binoculars are designed to be impervious to water, ensuring they remain functional and undamaged even in wet or rainy conditions. This feature is valuable for outdoor enthusiasts who may encounter various weather conditions.
  • Rugged Rubber Armor Body: The binoculars have a robust rubber armor body, which provides both impact resistance and a secure grip. This makes them durable and suitable for use in rugged outdoor environments.
  • Ultra-Compact Folding Design: These binoculars feature a design that allows them to be folded into a very compact size for easy portability and storage, making them convenient for travel and on-the-go use.
  • Twist-Up Eyecups: The twist-up eyecups are a feature that allows users to adjust the eyepieces to accommodate different eye positions. This is particularly advantageous for those who wear glasses, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience.
  • Diopter Adjustment: Diopter adjustment is a mechanism that lets you fine-tune the focus of one eyepiece independently. It compensates for differences in vision between your eyes, ensuring that you can achieve a sharp and clear image for each eye, making the binoculars suitable for users with varying eyesight.
  • Tripod Mountable: These binoculars come with the ability to be mounted on a tripod. This feature is valuable for achieving steady and prolonged observation, especially during activities such as stargazing or birdwatching where a stable view is essential.
