DayStar 130mm Energy Rejection Filter with 160mm Inside Diameter Cap - For Refractor - E-160N130

The DayStar 130mm Energy Rejection Filter featuring a 160mm Inside Diameter Cap, meticulously crafted for refractor telescopes.

These cutting-edge filters have been designed to significantly diminish the thermal stress on your filter system.

This is achieved by proficiently absorbing or reflecting UV and/or I light, ensuring seamless transmission of light within the desired visual spectrum.

You can choose from variants in Red or Yellow glass, or opt for filters utilizing dielectric IR and UV materials.

Whichever you select, rest assured that these filters guarantee precise filtration while allowing the passage of desired wavelengths.

What sets the ERF apart is its dual functionality as an aperture mask, guaranteeing a direct angle of incidence for incoming light, thereby augmenting filtering efficiency.

For the best performance, DayStar recommends employing filter assemblies at f/30 or slower.

This setup can be effortlessly achieved with the appropriate ERF and/or Barlow. In cases of higher resolution or larger aperture configurations, we suggest including a Barlow for an even more enhanced viewing experience.

Important Instructions:

To facilitate a seamless integration, after your order is placed, please reach out to us via email with the following details:

  • Please ensure you identify the specific telescope designated for use with this ERF and take precise measurements of the outer diameter of the telescope's dew shield at the front using a ruler. This exact measurement is crucial, as our ERFs are tailored to each individual telescope to guarantee a seamless fit.
  • If this measurement is not provided, it may lead to a temporary delay in processing your order until the required information is obtained. Your satisfaction and optimal performance is our priority.

Features & Highlights:

  • 130mm Energy Rejection Filter (ERF) Glass: An intricately engineered optical element meticulously designed to effectively mitigate thermal impacts on your filter assembly. Through precise absorption or reflection of UV and IR light, it selectively permits only the desired visual spectrum to pass through. This calculated filtration method ensures a reliably clear viewing experience, reducing any potential disturbances caused by thermal effects to a minimum.

  • Advanced Thermal Management: The DayStar Energy Rejection Filters are precision-engineered to alleviate thermal stress on your filter assembly. This is achieved through their adept ability to absorb or reflect UV and/or IR light. As a result, they ensure the seamless transmission of light exclusively within the desired visual spectrum. This crucial function safeguards the telescope's optical components from excessive heat, assuring a reliable and consistent performance.
  • Versatile Filter Material Options: These advanced filters offer a range of material options, including Red or Yellow glass, and the use of dielectric coatings. This diversity of choices allows for precise filtration, tailored to your specific observational needs. Whether you opt for glass variants or dielectric coatings, each option excels in blocking unwanted UV and IR wavelengths, ensuring an optimal viewing experience.
  • Optical Clarity and Precision: While effectively screening out UV and IR, these filters excel in transmitting light within the desired visual spectrum. This unwavering commitment to clarity and precision guarantees that observations and images captured with these filters remain free from distortions, characterized by impeccable clarity.
  • Dual Functionality as Aperture Mask: The Energy Rejection Filter (ERF) not only serves as a filter but also functions as an aperture mask. By ensuring that incoming light strikes the telescope's optics at a direct and optimal angle, it significantly amplifies the quality and precision of your observations.
  • Optimal Operational Settings: DayStar filter assemblies reach their zenith in performance when configured at f/30 and slower settings. This ideal setup is effortlessly achieved with the inclusion of the appropriate ERF and Barlow, ensuring impeccable alignment within your telescope's optical system.
  • Tailored Compatibility and Consultation: DayStar provides a comprehensive list of compatible reflectors and refractors, simplifying your selection process. Additionally, their seasoned team is readily available to assist you in selecting the perfect filter for your equipment. Whether you're looking for a compatible model or seeking personalized guidance, DayStar's knowledgeable team is dedicated to ensuring your satisfaction.
  • Precision Machining for Seamless Integration: ERFs are meticulously custom machined, underscoring an unwavering dedication to detail and precision in the manufacturing process. This ensures that the filter is seamlessly tailored to meet the unique requirements of your telescope, guaranteeing a precise and accurate fit.
  • Critical Measurement Precision Requirement: To expedite the customization process, DayStar courteously requests an accurate measurement of the outermost (largest) diameter of your telescope's dew shield at the foremost end. This level of precision is pivotal in securing a flawless fit and optimizing the performance of your ERF. Rest assured, your satisfaction and the quality of your viewing experience remain DayStar's foremost priorities.
  • Durable and Protective Construction: The ERF is securely housed in a robust cell with a 160mm ID cap. This cap provides an extra layer of protection, safeguarding the filter when not in use, ensuring longevity and continued high performance.
