While adding a touch of elegance to your living space, you will be able to view crystal clear night sky images, or terrestrial viewing during daylight through this beautifully crafted Barska Anchormaster Telescope. This 36x80 Brass Refractor Telescope is a fully functional and powerful refractor telescope with high quality optics. With a large 900mm focal length the 80mm objective diameter will provide crystal clear images with good contrast and minimum distortion.  The 36x80 Brass Refractor features polished brass components with a mahogany finished tripod. A brass cradle mount allows the telescope to move smoothly in all directions. The handcrafted mahogany tripod has extendable legs with all brass fittings creating a visually pleasing and solid support for the telescope. 

The Anchormaster Series of Telescopes by Barska are a classic and elegant series of precision handcrafted brass scopes. The Anchormaster Series of brass telescopes features fully coated achromatic lenses for brilliant images, structured in a refractor design with helical focusing ring.

Able to see the Golden Gate Bridge from our deck in San Mateo!

With this telescope we are actually able to see the Golden Gate Bridge from our deck in San Mateo. The telescope looks expensive and classy, and is a big hit with everyone who comes through the door. At a large family gathering on Thanksgiving it got even more attention than the ping pong table!

Wow, great functioning and looking telescope

I wanted a solid brass telescope for my beach home, and this telescope looks fanastic and functions fantastic too. I would have preferred new instead of a refurb but there were was no availability anywhere for this model new. The optics are stunning, I can see ships on the horizon that I cannot see at all with my eyes. A white speck on the ocean becomes a boat I can read the name and registry, and I've seen dolphins near the horizon through the atmospheric distortion. I was blown away seeing Jupiter's bands and 4 moons, and Saturns rings.

Critically, the only thing I can mention on the design is a normal ocean breeze can make some wobble, and I think due to the refurb, the lens cap to the eye piece is not brass like the other 3 lens caps, it came with a super lame neon yellow plastic cap that looks like a soda bottle cap. The gripes do not distract from this stunning work of functional art.
