Refractors

A refractor telescope typically uses a two lens system for gathering night sky light. When light enters through the objective lens the image appears slightly bent or refracted. The eyepiece lens then magnifies and straightens the refracted image. A simple refractor telescope offers portability and ease of operation. Lens re-alignment or collimation isn’t required, therefore making this type of telescope a good choice as an entry level astronomy instrument.
