Equatorial (EQ)
The advantage of using an Equatorial mount is that it compensates for the Earth's rotation by having one rotational axis, the polar axis, parallel to the Earth's axis of rotation. When the mount is aligned with the North or South pole, it can then spin on the same axis as Earth.
